Jands, the authorised distributor for Soundcraft in New Zealand, is set to host the popular Soundcraft ‘Mixing with Professionals’ (MwP) series.
The MwP sessions will be held on 5 October 2017 at Jands Training Centre, Mangere, Auckland.
MwP offers tips and tricks to create fantastic mixes from some of live sound’s most accomplished engineers. Chris Tate from College Hill Productions will conduct the sessions in Auckland.
Chris has over 20 years of experience in live sound reinforcement. He has won awards for “Best Live Sound Engineer” and has been credited for his contribution to platinum records. International and local bands ask for him by name to mix their shows.
“I really enjoy presenting the Soundcraft ‘Mixing with Professionals’ seminars and so do the attendees,” says Chris Tate. “They learn a lot about mixing techniques and using digital mixers like the Vi Series consoles in the real world of live performance,”.
“Our vision is to provide support in all aspects of the products we distribute,” says Paul Edlin from Jands. “We wish to upskill sound engineers in New Zealand and those keen to learn more about sound mixing and the audio industry.”
Two sessions are available, starting with an Advanced Pro Level session from 3pm – 5pm. This workshop is for experienced sound engineers looking at fine tuning their skills and learning more about Vi workflows.
The second session is for intermediate users and will provide an in-depth introduction to mixing concepts from 6pm-8pm.
The course is free to attend but registration is essential as space is limited.
